Social Media

At the Texas Department of Agriculture, social media efforts have been expanded heavily under my watch, moving the agency to a more modern approach that’s driven big results. Since October when I started as Communications Director the agency has measured 94.8 Million impressions across all social platforms up 188% In addition, our following grew sharply with a 92,600 net audience growth up 395% from the prior period.

I continue to oversee and contribute towards social content distribution and strategy across all agency pages, including The Texas Department of Agriculture, GO TEXAN, Texas Our Texas, Uncork Texas Wine, Texas Gulf Seafood, Texas Agristress, and State Office of Rural Health, with many pages posting content several times a day.

At the TDA, I revamped the agency print documents across the board, including our agency’s monthly newsletter. As both Deputy Director and current Director I am responsible for many of our long-form and short-form print deliverables or supervising the graphic design staff that I may delegate to.

My goal was to pull agency visual documents, both printed and digital, into a more modern direction. I believe relative to where we started, I have vastly improved the overall design aesthetic and quality at the Texas Department of Agriculture.
